Comic styles: which one to pick for your story

Paneled has twelve drawing styles - from manga and manhwa to Western comics - chosen before generation and held across the whole chapter. Below is what each one gives and the stories it works best for.

Manga B&W

The classic: ink, screentones, speed lines. Drama, action, psychological stories - anything that should look "like in a tankobon".

Manga color

The same manga line art, but in color - for cover scenes and stories where color carries the mood.

Manhwa

Dramatic poster-style digital paint with high-contrast light - the vibe of "Solo Leveling". Action and dark plots.

Webtoon

Clean bright line art and rich color - school, romance and slice-of-life stories in the spirit of Lookism and True Beauty.

Anime

Frames "like from an anime series": expressive eyes, a TV-animation palette. Universal for fantasy and adventure.

Chibi

Mini characters with big heads - humor, sketches, cute vignettes and comedic inserts.

Superhero

American superhero comic (Marvel/DC): bold inks, saturated color, halftone and dynamic action. Action, superheroics, epic splash pages.

Graphic Novel

A mature graphic novel: painterly rendering, grounded realism, a muted cinematic palette (the Blacksad, Saga vibe). Serious, dramatic stories.

Ligne claire

European BD: clean even lines, flat bright color, no halftones (the Tintin and Moebius lineage). Adventure, retro sci-fi, clear staging.

Noir

Hard shadows, rain, neon and cigarette smoke - detectives, thrillers and urban drama.

Pixel

Pixel art in the spirit of retro games - stories about gamers, cyberpunk vignettes and 16-bit stylizations.

Your style

Upload reference images and describe your universe - the model picks up the manner and draws the story in it, recognizing canon characters.

Modifiers: fine-tuning on top of the style

The style sets the art, the modifiers set the delivery. They combine with any style:
